Summers are hot in Texas. Luckily this month we were able to take a little vacation a go introduce Miles to some of his extended family in Iowa to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday. It was so fun to watch my family love on our sweet boy. It was also meaningful to see Miles introduced to his great-grandpa.

Miles went from weighing 14 lbs 4 oz to 16 lbs 2 oz. This month had the biggest changes. On July 6th, Miles had his first food! He did great and gets better and better each day. Also, on that day he rolled over for the first time! He was so proud of himself. We are one step closer to a baby on the move. I'm not sure if I'm prepared for that yet. This month we went to a Frisco Rough Riders game, celebrated the 4th of July, starting playing and grabbing at toys, and teething. This kid now drools all.the.time. One of the best investments was a chewbeads necklace. I can wear it as jewelry and Miles loves chewing on it. He also started pretending to be shy. When people come up to him and I'm holding him they will start talking to him and he always smiles and then burrows his head into my shoulder. It is hilarious! He also loves looking at himself in the mirror. He smiles every time! Such a fun age.
